Programs and Mission explained

OUR MISSION

You Night is a Sisterhood of Support to help women embrace life beyond a cancer diagnosis.

Founded in 2013, You Night recognizes the need to provide a safe place for women to share, learn and lean on each other for support. You Night is a sisterhood comprised of hundreds of women who have had or are currently battling any type of cancer. We offer unique year-round therapeutic programs that are alternatives to traditional cancer survivor support groups.

We address the critical need for emotional healing programs after a cancer diagnosis.
THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A BETTER TIME TO HELP THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN TOLD, "YOU HAVE CANCER."

325,000 women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. This is a life-altering diagnosis and a staggering number.

...and even more staggering:

We cannot ignore the toll that these stressors are taking on women in our community.

These stressors impact health outcomes, relationships, the workplace and a person's mental stability. What started as a gesture to help two friends find joy after a cancer diagnosis has flourished into this thriving program.. Our collaborations with sponsors like you, and our collective ideas and passion have brought us to this place today. We partner with area hospitals and physicians who refer their patients into programs. These programs are gifted to the participants. Since our inception in 2013, we have provided these programs to over 500 women in the New Orleans and St. Tammany Parishes.

100 percent of Donations, Ticket sales and Sponsorship support the

WE LIFT YOU UP fund - a 501(c)3 public charity dedicated to emotional healing programs for women diagnosed with cancer.

Setting out to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the most amount of models in a runway show. Over 150 of the models will be You Night Runway Empowerment Program Graduates.

RIBBONS ROCK THE RUNWAY BY THE NUMBERS

Bringing awareness and support centered around 18 women cancers:

We are setting out to break three world records:

Most amount of models in a Runway Show (number to beat: 421)

Most amount of models posing in a fashion photograph (number to beat 320)

Most amount of guests doing the shimmy at the same time (number to beat 820)

150 You Night alums (cancer survivors) will be walking wearing their ribbon color

An additional 350 professional models (including children) will be walking wearing ribbon colors to show support.

In addition to the 500 models, we anticipate a guest count of 1500 persons, representing:

Area Hospitals, Physicians (surgeons, oncologists and other medical professionals who care for cancer patients)

Hospital Administration

18 National Cancer Organizations

Friends and Family members

Ambassadors in the community

We will be producing a magazine that will be distributed at area hospitals and physician offices.

This campaign will focus on information about 18 different women's cancers and editorial and advertising for persons in our community who have a vested interest in all cancers or a particular cancer type.

An opportunity for one sponsor to make a huge statement. 350 models (most of them will be cancer survivors) will pose for a group photo at 3:30 p.m. the day of the Ribbons Walk Gala (Saturday, October 1st) in the courtyard of The Sugar Mill. We will purchase t-shirts for the models to wear with your logo. This will be a media-centered opportunity, to bring awareness to our cause and your brand. We will tell your story through this effort.
